The
two most common enclosure systems are conventional stick framing and
structural insulated panels (SIPS).
Conventional
framing involves enclosing the frame with two-by-four or two-by-six
boards, which basically builds the house around the timber frame.
SIPS
have been used in developing timber frames for many years. SIPS
allow a frame to be quickly enclosed with a super insulated shell.
Installation varies with the complexity of the frame. |
